Ah! Now I See It!

I stared and stared at this card and tried a couple of different things before giving up and photographing it. It needed something, but before seeing the photo, I couldn't figure out what it was. This happens every once in a while.

Before I post my second photo, I'll say that this card looks nothing like the cards that inspired it on Nicole Heady's Capture the Moment blog. Aren't those cards something? Obviously, I don't have that stamp set, and because it was the 2007-2008 anniversary set, I'm not going to get it. That's OK. What her cards actually inspired me to do was to re-examine the stamps that I have that can be used in similar ways, and that is what you will be seeing for the next few days. It will be a good exercise. Too often, I overlook the possibilities of the stamps I already own. I have a sneaking suspicion, too, that I'm not alone. Am I right?

While I'm asking questions, was I right about my card needing something? I'd already tried ribbon, and without the flower it didn't work. Now, I'm happy. What do you think?

Materials & Tools: White Daisy, Cranberry, and Black cardstock; White Daisy pigment, Black, and Cranberry ink pads; Close To My Heart Solo "E" and Papertrey Ink Lucky Lady stamp sets; Cuttlebug w/Nestabilities Classic Circle set; Black gingham ribbon; Just Blooms Summer Posies paper flowers; Red mini brad.

I am exhausted tonight. I was very tired last night, too, and went to bed relatively early, only to lay staring at the ceiling until 3 a.m. For the past several weeks, I've been having trouble with my legs. What started as pain behind my knees has escalated to a pair of legs that hurt everywhere almost all of the time and don't want to bend and move the way they're supposed to. Initially, I thought it was the weather change. After last night, I'm convinced that I need to make an appointment at the clinic.

For tonight, I'm going to take some Advil, go to bed, and hopefully, sleep. Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you have a great week. Regardless of my current malady, I'll be back. My hands are working just fine!

Perfect addition to the card! Thanks for sharing that it's good to re-think what we currently own. I will go back to those cards and look again at how I can make them mine!

I'm sorry to hear your legs are bugging you. Hope you figure out a solution soon. I also hope you got some good sleep!

What a difference some ribbon makes. I am going to try making a card tonight. Check out my blog and you will know what has been happening with me this last week.
