The Bird for a Buck is Back

I'm late again tonight. This has been a weird week. Marv and I went out to celebrate some good news I received at work today. The thing is, I don't know exactly what the news is or how good it is . . . I was just left with the impression that it's very good, as in "significant."

For whatever reason, this little bird stamp that I bought for a buck on a whim jumped out at me tonight. Without a lot of time, the card was made with scraps that were cluttering my desktop. The sketch is a modified version of the sketch I used last night.

Materials & Tools: White Daisy, Cranberry, and Garden Green cardstock; Let's Get Together paper packet; Black and Cranberry ink pads; Orange marker; Snag'em Stamps Chick stamp and Papertrey Ink Birthday Basics stamp set; Cranberry gingham ribbon; Paper flowers of unknown origin; Red mini brad; My Legacy Writer.

I will be back tomorrow night with some serious stamping and an announcement about a special award my friend Jeanne recently bestowed on me. I am tickled pink but need more time than I've had in the past couple of days to talk about it.

Before closing, I do have to tell a little story. During break at work this morning, Cameron asked, "So, my kids drove you crazy last night?" "No," I said. "They were fine." Cam gave me "the look" and proceeded to report little Mathias' side of the story. It seems that on the ride home Mathias said, "Gamma said me and Born (Bjorn) were naughty, and if we're naughty we can't come to her house anymore. That's not very nice of Gamma!" Cameron asked him, "Were you naughty?" "No," Mathias said. "I was just busy!" You've got to be familiar with the manner in which this little guy talks for it to be truly funny. Like his daddy when he was little, he has quite the flair for drama. The moral of the story is that "Gamma" better watch it! The good thing is that Mathias isn't mad at me anymore. Later!!
