A Break in the Action

The cupcakes are out of the oven, and my salads are made. The little boys have been right there to help, and although I have tried and tried, I still don't have an over abundance of patience for kids in the kitchen. We have our share of kitchen activities that are planned with them in mind. Those are great. However, when Grandma is on a "mission," four extra little hands and two jabbering little mouths push me to my limit, particularly when the stovetop, oven, and my fear of them getting burned is part of it.

My card was inspired this card made by my friend, Jeanne. It's just one of several awesome cards she's made this weekend. I had the same dilemma Jeanne did in finding the right stems for my flowers. I finally opted for the stems from the Delight in Everything set and then ended up adding some leaves from my Impression Obsession For the Birds set.

Materials & Tools: White Daisy cardstock; Sweet Leaf and Blush textured cardstock; Sweet Leaf and Crystal Blue ink pads; Delight in Everything, Because of You, Simple Stitches, and Impression Obsession For the Birds stamp sets; Acrylic discs from Michael's; Corner rounder.

I was just informed that the cupcakes have been sampled. I guess they are cool enough to frost! Later!!

I love it! I actually thought of using the same stems, but didn't have a cute little leaf like that to add to it.

Hope you had a great day!

I searched high and low (literally) at M's for those discs. No luck. C'est la vie!

This, my friend, is a darling card!
