Little Things

I started this card last night and decided to finish it before addressing the task at hand. It's another card that doesn't require a lot of comment. A discovery that I've made recently that I'm rather happy about is that the Just Blooms flowers can be colored successfully with markers. At least it's worked well with the colors I've tried. Using the brush end of the marker to color them is so much easier and less messy than dying them with reinkers. While they are wet, they're not soaked and can be dried relatively quickly with a few blasts from the embossing gun.

Materials & Tools: White Daisy, Holiday Red,and Black cardstock; Black and Holiday Red ink pads; Holiday Red marker; Papertrey Ink Little Lady stamp set; Just Blooms White Daisy Variety Pack; Black Bigger Brads; American Crafts red mini brads; My Legacy Writer; EK Success corner rounder; Cuttlebug w/Spots and Dots embossing folder.

With a card posted, I'm going to go get busy on some stamp club projects. I hope you had a great day. It's hard to believe the week is more than half over already. Time flies . . .

I like the card. And that was a good tip about coloring the paper flowers. I have never had any success with the stamp pad method of coloring them. I gotta go do my finances so I know how much money I have to play with tomorrow.

WOW Kathi, after seeing your first card I went to Papertrey and bought the lady bug stamp set plus a few more things then I remembered to look at the other card. I love the lady bug cards you made, actually I have not found a card that you have made that I don't love. I do borough your ideas. Thanks
Larie

This is a happy card! Love it!

Thanks for the tip on using the markers. Have you heard of filling a spray bottle with a little rubbing alchohol and a few drops of reinker? Then you shake it to mix it up and spritz your flower to color it? Because it's alchohol, it evaporates quickly and the color is left behind.

Just another way to color...

And dang, don't you know I can't buy up everything you use???? (Even though I seriously want to)

Great card Kathi! Definitely gotta try coloring my flowers with markers! Never tried coloring with the reinkers - too much of a hassle! Thanks for the AWESOME blog!
