My husband has decided that listening to me tap away on the keyboard is annoying. "Blogging again?" he asked. "Shut the door. I can't stand the sound of your keyboard. You type too fast." For crying out loud! The man has been listening to me type for years. I write for a living and for several years, did most of it at home. I'm sorry that I type too fast. Evidently, hunting and pecking like he does is more agreeable. Is he jealous my keyboard skills? Or, maybe it's this blog? As for my last post, I'm not sure I want him in my boat. I don't mean that, but for all the irritating habits I've put up with for 30 years, one would think he would be able to tolerate the sound of a keyboard.
As for the card, I got the bobber right this time and am going to find some nice guy or fishing gal to give it to.
Materials & Tools: Colonial White, Moonstruck, and Bamboo cardstock; Route 66 paper packet; Cranberry, Moonstruck, and Bamboo ink pads; Hook, Line, and Sinker and Happy Birthday stamp sets; CTMH retired Speckled Background stamp; My Legacy Writer; Circle Window Charms.
The fact that Marv and I are finding each other moderately annoying again is so nice - so normal. He's most anxious to get back to his regular activities. This morning, he called me at work after rehab. "Do you know how long I have to do this? Thirty-six sessions!!!" I reminded him that it's only 12 weeks or approximately three months. Although he hasn't said as much, I think he's worried that the rehab thing is going to interfere with his golf season. When I decide I like him again, I'm going to find a nice pull cart for his clubs for his birthday. Maybe the new sand wedge he's been talking about, too . . . I'll make a card to fit the theme - A golf ball on a tee with the sentiment, "You T Me Off." The inside will read, "But I Love Ya Anyway!" Men . . .
Thanks for stopping and listening to the tales that compile my ordinary, albeit wonderful, life.

haha!
I traded mine for a hunk of new stamps...
it was a VERY good trade!
You can always tell when them men are feeling better...the gripe returns!
LOL about Marv! In our house, I get frustrated when I hear Chris "hunt and peck". Often, I take the secretarial role and have him dictate while I type for him.
I'm not a fisherman, nor do I like boats -- but this card is darling. I like the colors and the fish stamp. Cute cute cute.
And, your "to be" card for the golf cart -- great idea.
ROFLOL Kathi.... sorry but that 'tirade' sounded totally like listening to a conversation between my parents - I miss those conversations so anytime you feel the need to 'share your normal', you will have a captive audience in me! Love the Bobber but wouldn't it *tee* him off if it was still 'autumn terracotta' - roflol
LOLOLOLOL...Kathi! I'm so glad you two are getting back to normal~MEN! indeed!
Love the card and thanks for the head's up on Allison's blog. I use a Reader and don't actually GO to the blog unless I am commenting. Never would have know had you not said something.
Hugs to you!
Loved your MEN story. Marv...
LOL... your funny. :)
Love it - My plan is feed my husband testerone in his morning cereal- but his complaints are about the traffic lights - how they must turn RED when he is near!
