A New Passion for Scraps

Here are a couple more very simple quick cards that I made in a few minutes time with scraps that were cluttering my desktop. I reiterate that the use of textured cardstock gives these cards some class - enough to make me love 'em.

Materials & Tools: White Daisy, Twilight, and Sweet Leaf textured cardstock; K&Company Amy Butler Designer Mat Pack; Outdoor Denim (top card) and Twilight stamp pads; Say it with Style May Stamp of the Month.

Now, I'm going to pull up a Word document and make a game plan for my busy day before hopping in the shower. It's a beautiful day. Dreary moods in the Carlson household are not allowed today. Because stamping will be on my list of things to do, I'll most likely be back to show you what I come up with. In the meanwhile, have a super Saturday!

I know I've probably said this before, but coming to your blog is always a bright spot in my day. Your cards are always so beautiful and you have such a great attitude about life. It's always a happy pick me up.

These cards (and the several posts before it) are no exception. Wonderful! I love the simplicity of these and that they use up scraps. Sometimes I feel like I add too much to my cards and need to step back and simplify. There's a beauty in white space I sometimes forget. I'm going to try cards like these this weekend.

Kathi,

The sketch for this card has become one of my favorites. It's so easy, and it uses scraps.

BTW, love the addition of music to the blog!

These cards are CLASSY and I love the colors! Awesome choice. Sometimes it's hard to decide what to leave OFF a card, and you've got the knack for perfect selection.

Love them...now I want that paper, you enabler you!
