All That Glitters . . .

. . . may not be gold, but a little glitter (or Stickles) can go a long way in making a rather sick looking card acceptable. It's just too bad that the Stickles look sick in the photo! However, I willing to bet that you get my drift and that many of you have had the same experience. I was going for a soft look here and ended up with bland, until, that is, as a last ditch effort to give my card a little oomph, I reached for my trusty little bottle of Crystal Stickles. Relieved I was, because after a ho-hum day, I wasn't in the mood to toss my effort in the scrap heap.

Materials & Tools: CTMH White Daisy and Black cardstock; CTMH Sweet Leaf, Sunkiss, and Black ink pads; Papertrey Ink Sweet Blush Perfect Match cardstock, ink pad, and polka dot satin ribbon; Basic Grey Lilykate paper pad; CTMH Happiness stamp set; Crystal Stickles; 3M foam mounting tape.

Marv must be taking advantage of the beautiful day on the golf course, and here I am, watching American Idol all by my lonesome. It's OK. I may or may not have found his commentary amusing. Although I have my "favorite," I don't have any big emotional stake in who wins. As with a lot of things in life, the journey that brings us to the culmination of an event is what matters. With that point of view shared, I'm off to see what the refrigerator holds in the way of nourishment. I skipped lunch today and am starved. Thanks for stopping, and know that I hope your Thursday is something special.

Well, leave the work up to the Stickles! I think the card works for what you want it to do. It is pretty and I like the pop of color (or lack of color) with the black.
