Good Grief!

Here's the out-of-the-box color combination I mentioned last night. It was inspired by someone, but I don't know who, when, or where. I only know that I saw a card using a similar color combo, the same stamp, and white embossing powder. I don't like it when this happens. I like to give credit to the one who inspires me, so if you see this card and recognize aspects of it, thank you. As for how much I like my finished card, I'm not certain. I think the Honey gold might be a little strong, that Goldrush might have been better. My issue, too, may be that blue and gold are the colors of the local high school sports teams. In my mind, "Go Prowlers," might have been a more fitting sentiment. Regardless, I embossed the images first and then stamped over them with Star Spangled Blue. I used a round sponge to rub a little more ink around and then a damp baby wipe to remove the blue ink from my embossed images. Make sense? I hope so.

Materials & Tools: White Daisy and Star Spangled Blue cardstock; Honey textured cardstock; Star Spangled Blue ink pad; Cornish Heritage Farms Silhouette Florals I and CTMH Say it in Style May SOTM stamp sets; VersaMark ink pad; White embossing powder; White organdy ribbon; Round sponge; Embossing gun.

As for the "good grief," evidently, the word "confession" in my title a couple of posts ago was a key word that resulted in an anonymous comment that included a link to a blog where one can confess his or her sins anonymously. Frankly, I don't feel the need for it nor do I think the my visitors do, so I deleted the anonymous post. I suppose to avoid such nuisance posts I could change my settings, which I will do if things get too weird. For now, I'll leave 'em alone.

It's Wednesday already. This week is flying by. Sunday is also the third Sunday of the month, which means my stamp club meets this weekend. With that knowledge, I think I'll go play around in my corner and see if I can't come up with a project or two. Have a nice evening, and if I don't stop back tonight, a good day tomorrow.

Kathi, I love the card and the colors, but I know what you mean by being school colors. It is a beautiful card.
