Weekend Challenge Sketch

Here's my card for Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge. Take a look at Beate's beautiful card here on the Fresh & Fun blog. That new Fresh Cuts set from Stampin' Up looks really interesting.

My card has a more casual flair using the Petals and Stems set from Verve Visual one more time along with the fun papers from CTMH's Let's Get Together paper packet. If the photo doesn't show it, the flower elements were stamped, cut out, and layered with a little foam mounting tape. Dimension always adds a fun element to a card.

Materials & Tools: White Daisy, Buttercup, and Breeze cardstock; Let's Get Together Level 2 paper packet; Breeze, Cranberry, Buttercup, and Garden Green ink pads; Verve Visual Petals and Stems and Impression Obsession Anytime Sentiments stamp sets; Cranberry gingham ribbon; Garden Green mini brads; 3M foam mounting tape.

I think it is going to be an early night. With the exception of a fan humming and some birds chirping rather loudly outside my window, it's really quiet around here tonight. As much as I adore my husband and family, I'll have to say that every once in a while I like the quiet of being alone. It gives me a chance to catch up on my thoughts and put life into perspective. Thanks for stopping by and to those who have left comments or emailed me this week, I'm sending cyber hugs. Words of encouragement are always appreciated. Good night, and have a great weekend.

You are so convincing me that I really want these stamps from Verve!!This is a fun and happy card.

I hope to get out to my craft room today, but first we have a Field Day to go to at Amy's school. She is SO excited! Outside fun and games for about 4 hours. I may not have the energy after that!

Love the card. We arrived home from seeing our granddaughter graduate from high school. It is a long way from Upper Michigan to Southern Colorado. Tomorrow I hope to be in my little craft spot while doing mountains of laundry.
