Inkspired Again!

Tonight's card was inspired by this card on the Laurie's Stampin' & Scrappin' Place blog. Laurie used a stencil to make her lovely card. My card was done with embossed images from the Nature Walk set. With no wide satin ribbon (so pretty) on hand, I stamped "Happy Father's Day" on natural twill ribbon.

Materials & Tools: Colonial White and Olive cardstock; Olive and Bamboo ink pads; Nature Walk and Say it in Style May Stamp of the Month stamp sets; Versamark Ink; Olive embossing powder; Natural twill ribbon from White Daisy Ribbon Rounds; Olive gingham ribbon from reasonableribbon.com; Embossing heat tool.

We are one tired household tonight. I started this post before laying down and falling asleep with Mathias. Instead of cooking, we went to the Dairy Queen for dinner. We ate outside and then walked to a nearby park where we played on the playground equipment and went for a long walk along the riverbank. What surprised and pleased me was Bjorn's discussion and clear recollection of what we did the "last time" we were there, which would have been late last summer. I guess our little adventures are leaving impressions and creating memories. From the way I'm yawning, finishing this post is all I'm going to accomplish before crawling back into bed for the night. Thanks for stopping. I've more to show you, so be sure to stop back.

So very nice!I like the serene feel of the card. Stamping on the twill is a great idea.

How wonderful that you have such a great relationship with your grandsons! They will cherish these times spent with you and Marv forever.

It is funny what those little minds remember. Be glad you have those moments with them!

You're the second one today that I have seen with the sentiment stamped on the twill. I need to try that. Are there any tricks so the ink won't bleed?

This turned out wonderful! Thanks for linking my blog up! I also love the butterfly card you just posted! I hope you find your stamp - it's probably stuck on something, just like you said and you'll find it later! Good luck!
