It's a Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood . . .

Well, it's Saturday, and while I could have slept in with no repercussions, I was up bright and early. That might have something to do with the fact the sun is shining, a rarity these days. The birds outside my window sound happy as can be. In honor of the sunshine, I'm kicking off the weekend with a bright card. I had a hankering to use a blue/green color combination, adding a little purple . . . just because.

Materials & Tools: White Daisy, Dutch Blue, Citrus Leaf, Hydrangea, and Brown Bag cardstock; Dutch Blue, Chocolate, and Clover Meadow ink pads; Happiness (dots) and Cornish Heritage Farms U R A Hoot stamp sets; Prismacolor colored pencils; Gamsol mineral spirits.

As the weather is nicer than what was forecast, I might get out a little bit today. Maybe I'll go shopping. I could use a new pair of jeans, and I have a birthday gift to buy for Dustin's girlfriend whose birthday is tomorrow. I should think of a little something to make her. A couple of years ago, I altered a set of wood letters that spelled out her name, and she was so excited and happy to receive a handmade gift. Not sure of what her reaction would be, I was both relieved and touched. She's a sweet girl and "a keeper." Perhaps, I should go buy some paint, too. The living room that we prepped for painting a couple of weeks ago is still waiting. The draperies I sent to the cleaners are back, waiting to be hung. For now, I think I'll go have a little breakfast. I don't think the "So, what am I supposed to eat?" question would fly two days in a row. Thanks for stopping by. I hope yours is a nice day, too!
