Sketch Challenge

Here's my adaptation of Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge #55. You will probably be seeing more autumn colors in the days ahead. With September just a couple of days away, I'm going to have to resign myself to the fact that summer is fast coming to an end. I think the card pretty much explains itself - my outline stamped images colored with a blending pen and ink from my ink pads. I did use a paint brush to "paint" some Star Dust Sitckles on the flowers, so if you catch a hint of sparkle in the photo, that's what it is.

Materials & Tools; Colonial White and Pansy Purple cardstock; Enchanted paper packet; Black, Sunflower, Goldrush, Orange, Autumn Terracotta, Brown Bag, Pansy Purple, and Olive ink pads; Whipper Snapper Designs and Papertrey Ink Mixed Messages stamp sets; Stampin' Up Mellow Moss grosgrain ribbon; EK Success Corner Rounder (scallops).

So, what's everyone doing this weekend? I'm such a hermit on the weekends. I've been that way ever since I returned to the working world. I'm going to have to force myself out of the house to do a little shopping though. I need some new jeans and a purse, and Marv would probably appreciate it if I restocked what currently look like Old Mother Hubbard's cupboards. Besides my little shopping spree, I'm going to clean a bit, maybe stamp a little, and enjoy the peace and quiet of my little nest. I hope your long weekend is a good one. Take care . . .

What a brilliant collaboration of different elements! I would have never in a million years used that stamp set with that paper :) It looks beautiful!

Whoa Nelly! Is this ever pretty! LOVE the colors! Are those stamps clear or unmounted rubber? You are definitely tempting me with this card!

As for the weekend plans...I'm trying to make up for lost time in the craft room. There is a weekend festival called Taste of Colorado in Civic Center park and Steve asked if I wanted to go, but I fear it's too much walking yet for my ankle. I'm sure I will be able to keep myself entertained & busy. Ü

Awesome job with the sketch! As for my weekend, I went in to work today (teacher trying to get her classroom ready), need to clean my house a lot!, cooking up lots of soup, muffins, and loaves to freeze for the upcoming busy months, do more prep schoolwork, and hopefully some scrapping and cardmaking sometime in there - all the while hubby is away in a fishing derby!
