Bright Idea

This is an idea that I think I saw somewhere a while back. Either that or I dreamt it. Nevertheless, I think it's worth passing on. I'm a stamper who has the habit of not putting things away right away. I'll peal an acrylic stamp off a block and kind of stick it to whatever is nearby - a stamp pad lid, the cover of my double scrubber - anything, it seems, but the carrier sheet. Because of my nasty little habit, I've been known to misplace a stamp ever once in a while, only to find it a day or two later stuck to the bottom of a stamp pad or the like. To remedy the problem, I purchased this inexpensive acrylic frame the other day. I added a self-adhesive magnetic strip, too, to hold the Nestabilitie dies that don't always get placed back in the CD cases I store them in right away. The stand-up frame doesn't take up any room to speak of and will make a great temporary landing pad for acrylic and cling-mount stamps, Post-It notes, Nestabilities dies, and anything else that sticks to acrylic or a magnet. As you can see, I 'framed' a piece of patterned paper (seasonal, no less) to make it a bit more attractive. Will it help? I think so. At least everything that's loose will be in one place!

That is a neat idea! I'm forever hunting for my Nesties that get hidden under paper scraps. I've only lost one stamp so far and that one bounced onto the carpet and I could never find it. (it was a tiny Love stamp from Random Thoughts or something). I've done a lot of hunting them down though! LOL

Thanks for sharing!

Cool idea. I was trying to figure out how to store my Nestabilities. I have lots of unused CD cases. And I'll have to look around and see if I have an acrylic frame. Otherwise I'll be making a purchase at Wal-Mart.
