Interrupting This Autumn Season . . .

. . . for one more quick and easy Christmas card. There's nothing much to talk about here with the exception that I was manipulative in making my card. How? The snowman's head in the All Decked Out set (awesome November Stamp of the Month) is round. Given the long, lean look of the Friendship Alphabet, I didn't want a round snowman head, so I reshaped my stamp before placing it on the acrylic block, as to create a long, lean face. Then, all I had to do was narrow up his cap and scarf to "fit" with a few snips of my scissor. That was it . . . a 15-minute (or less) card that wouldn't be hard to mass produce if that's your thing. I used to make Christmas card samples, playing around until I came up with "the" design, which I would then proceed to mass produce. I don't do that anymore. I usually have enough respectable samples made up by the 1st of December to send those. I address an envelope and then just kind of sort through the pile until I come across a card I think "fits" the recipient.

Materials & Tools: White Daisy, Cranberry, and Orange cardstock; Evensong Creative Basics Collection; Black, New England Ivy, and Cranberry stamp pads; Cranberry and Garden Green markers; Friendship Alphabet Large and All Decked Out November SOTM stamp sets; Spring chalks.

I slept in this morning until 8:50. Marv is home sleeping, even though he called at sometime between 5 and 6 to say that he was stopping to rest in the car. Something tells me, however, that my big husband was not able to sleep in a very small car and drove the rest of the way home. I'm going to do my best to stay quiet until he wakes up on his own. Have a great day and thanks for stopping by. Most likely, I'll be back later with something I've quietly stamped this morning!

This is super cute and leave it to you to think to elongate the image! Great idea!

Hope the rest of your Sunday is super.

I love your card. I also love this stamp set. I had to laugh when I saw it because I made one really similar and posted it on my site last week. Check it out you might laugh to. www.iloveink.net
