Round 3

This is the third sketch challenge - this one Jen Del Muro's A Sketch for You to Try - that I wanted to do this weekend and as you can see, the third sketch that features circle elements. Evidently, several people were on the same wavelength this weekend. Unlike a lot of other sketch challenges, I didn't have an immediate 'vision' for any of them.

My yen to color served as the springboard for this card, and I was really in the mood for a cute image by Anna Wight. I colored the bird, etc. with colored pencils, trying to coordinate the colors with my patterned paper. I don't think I did too bad. Another fun card and after it all, me a little more accustomed to cards with multiple circle elements.

Materials & Tools: Colonial White, Barn Red, Twilight, and Buttercup cardstock; K&Company Saffron Petite Stripe and Wildflowers patterned paper; Black, Barn Red, Buttercup, and Twilight ink pads; Whipper Snapper Designs Pete cling-mounted stamp; CTMH For Every Occasion stamp set; Prismacolor colored pencils; Gamsol odorless mineral spirits; Paper blending stumps; Just Blooms White Daisy and Hero Arts Spring Collection paper flowers; Winter Classic mini brads; Autumn Harvest Bigger Brads; Cuttlebug w/Nestabilities Classic Circles set; Sanding block.

My husband, who is a superior athlete, needs to practice up on his Wii bowling after being kicked by his wife earlier this evening. What fun! And what a good idea to combine video games with physical activity. I would bet my last dollar, however, that Marv will be practicing when I'm not around. Losing to me at anything physical is more than his ego can take. I'm off to bed.

I said it before and will say it again - Have a great week! Later . . .

What a neat card. Love the colors. You've outdone yourself completing all these challenges! Great job!

I giggled out loud when I read that you bested Marv in Wii bowling. How fun that must have been. I agree a video came and movement is so clever.

Hope your week is a good one.
