My first card was inspired by this card on the No Time to Stamp? blog. Sharon does some of the most amazing things with embossing folders. I particularly liked the way she combined folders on this card, and I'll have to admit that I haven't used the small Fancy Corners folders as much as I thought I would when I bought them. For my card base, I used Chocolate textured cardstock. The lighter brown color that I used to mat the embossed pieces is the reverse side of the Chocolate paper. Isn't it pretty?
Materials & Tools: Chocolate textured cardstock; Heavenly Blue cardstock; Cocoa ink pad; Say it in Style stamp set; Cuttlebug w/Leaf Branch and Fancy Corners embossing folders; Chocolate Bigger and mini brads.
My second card features the Pumpkin Harvest embossing folder. I received the prettiest card using this folder from my friend, Jeanne, who had chalked the images. I tried that earlier yesterday, and I'll just say it didn't go so well.

Materials & Tools; Colonial White, Cocoa, and Autumn Terracotta cardstock; Abundance paper packet; Autumn Terracotta, Olive, Cocoa, and Bamboo ink pads; Papertrey Ink Spooky Sweets and Verve Stamps So Happy stamp sets; Stampin' Up Mellow Moss grosgrain ribbon; Sanding block; Sponge dauber; 3M foam mounting tape.
This last card was made using the Cuttlebug Ice Crystal Combo Embossing Folder and Die. I love the shape and size of this snowflake. With regard to the card design, it was a bit of an experiment. I wanted to make a card with an opening that showcased the snowflake. Everything else just kind of happened and was, at times, rather hit and miss. For example, I embossed my card front before cutting my opening. I had intended to use a Nestabilities circle

Materials & Tools: White Daisy and Heavenly Blue cardstock; Moonstruck ink pad; Festive Thoughts stamp set; Stampin' Up Whisper White taffeta ribbon; Cuttlebug w/Swiss Dots embossing folder and Ice Crystal Combo Embossing Folder and Die; Sparkles; Diamond Stickles; Empressor tool and mat; Coluzzle cutting system; Scotch Quick-Dry Adhesive.
With a post already so long, I'll keep the jabber brief. I've already been in the shower. I'm dressed (compared to yesterday when I never got out of my pajamas). I've sorted my laundry and given the rest of the place the eyeball with regard to what else I need to do today. I don't have any specific plans for stamping, just to make something . . . after I've tackled at least some of my chores. I hope you have a good day. I'll catch you later!
