I've got a funny story about bar codes. When I was at the newspaper, the publisher/owner I worked for decided to raise the price of the newspaper to a buck. He wanted a bar code so that it could be scanned instead of rung up separately at the grocery and convenience stores where the paper was sold. As part of a newspaper exchange, we received newspapers from all over the state, so one day he told me to find another newspaper that cost $1 and scan the barcode so that he could use it. I don't know if he thought I was dumb or what, but my response was, "No, I am not going to steal a barcode for you." A barcode for a particular product at that time cost around $750. He really tried to convince me that it wasn't stealing but rather borrowing or better yet, sharing. I told him, "Fine, do it yourself then." The whole thing was hilarious, and yes, I worked for the most eccentric man you can imagine. I could compile a book of stories but most of them are so crazy, no one would believe them.
After a couple failed attempts at greatness in my corner this afternoon, I gave up and took a nap. That would have been good had I not woke up with a headache, sore throat, and the chills. I have stuff going on at work and cannot be sick this week. If I am, I'm going to have to work sick. Very shortly, I'm going take some Vitamin C and go back to bed in attempt to try to shake it. I received a fun tag and an award this past week that I'll show you tomorrow evening. Until then, have a good Monday and take care.

Well, if you insist, I will enjoy this card (since you mentioned the size of the word) and the barcode. What a funny story you shared and I can so totally see you standing up for yourself. What a hoot/and a pain he must have been.
