Holdin' On . . .

The elf, that is! Here is my take on Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge #44. I colored the image with markers. Beyond that, I don't think there is a detail you cannot see.

Materials & Tools: Colonial White and Olive cardstock; Evensong paper packet; Black, New England Ivy, and Twilight ink pads; CTMH Garden Green, Cranberry, New England Ivy, Star Spangled Blue, Holiday Red, Clover Meadow, Sunny Yellow, Grey Wool, and Tombow #850 Flesh markers; Merry Pursuits and Festive Thoughts stamp sets; Stampin' Up Mellow Moss grosgrain ribbon; Cranberry Bigger Brads; Chipboard tag; Dove blending pen; Spring chalk set; 3M foam mounting tape; Cuttlebug w/ Nestabilities Classic Circles set.

Dear husband is on my case this morning. First, he grumbled about the fact that I got up too early. "Don't regular people sleep in on Saturdays?" he asked. So, I'm not regular (whatever the heck that is). A while later, he told me that I'm getting crotchety in my old age. I don't smile enough. I'm cantankerous, it seems. Good grief. Mr. Sunshine doesn't know what he's talking about, and life in the Carlson household is back to normal again. LOL. On that happy note, I'm going to put on a smile and go do last night's dinner dishes. I hope you're having a great day. Thanks for stopping by! :-)

I love your card Kathi and I love Taylor's sketch. I saw it yesterday and knew that I wanted to do something with it as well. You've done a great job with it.

What a great card! That elf is adorable and you maximized his cuteness to perfection!

Men! I got grumbled at as well, for not lounging in bed the same morning. However, had I stayed in bed and tossed and turned, I would have been grumbled at for that, too! Men!
