Just One More . . .

Wow! If I keep coming across all of these great sketches, I won't have to come up with any ideas of my own this weekend! LOL. Seriously, this is Jen Del Muro's weekly A Sketch for You to Try. I really need to start a folder on my computer and save these sketches so that I can refer to them when I'm at a loss as to what to do.

For my card, I used Close To My Heart's new Evergreen Set. It's a fun set of trees. I also used Basic Grey's Wassail paper.
There's nothing too notable about my card with the exception that the style of the paper warranted distressing the other paper elements. I sanded by cardstock pieces and used a sponge dauber to apply Bamboo ink around my stamped image. I wanted to top the tree off with a star and lo and behold, I came across this old CTMH button in my stash. It was the perfect color. Yeah!

Materials & Tools: White Daisy, Vineyard Berry, and New England Ivy cardstock; Basic Grey Wassail 6x6 paper pad; New England Ivy, Vineyard Berry, and Bamboo ink pads; Evergreen and Impression Obsession Sentiments II stamp sets; Button from retired CTMH set; 1 and 1-1/4 inch circle punches; Sanding block; Sponge dauber; Mini Glue Dots; 3M foam mounting tape.

Lazy me. I took a nap and looked at the same darned clock I looked at this morning when I first got up, so I thought it was an hour later than it actually was. This troublesome clock is on the kitchen stove, and according to Mr. Marv, it can't be reset. I'll have to check that out for myself. I checked my adhesive drawer and found I had an unopened package, so I won't have to go out today. There's food in the house to sustain life, just nothing "good" with the exception of those peanut butter cups. I never did turn the television or CD player on today. The quiet has been nice, although now that it's dark, it seems more lonely, so I suppose I'll have to turn on the television for "company." The telephone hasn't rung today, and there was no mail. Both unusual, but OK after the inundation of political phone calls and the campaign flyers from both parties that stuffed my mailbox/wastebasket. I don't know if I'll stamp this evening or do a little housework. Maybe I'll do a little of both. Have a great evening, and thanks for stopping!

Sure am glad to hear you found more adhesive!

Oh and tap, tap, I've tagged you for a different type of tag. Check out the latest post on my blog. Ü
