Hello Out There . . .

Nope. I'm not hearing an echo. LOL. The blogosphere is quiet these days, and those of us who are blogging are commenting that time is at a premium. It's nice to know that I'm not alone.

My card tonight was made using a combination of stuff that was out on my desk. What the photograph doesn't reveal is that I used textured green cardstock, and the focal point image, matted on the same New England Ivy, is mounted to the card base with foam mounting tape.

Materials & Tools: Colonial White, Barn Red, Stampin' Up Kraft, and CTMH New England Ivy textured cardstock; New England Ivy ink pad; Stampin' Up Peaceful Wishes stamp set; New England Ivy Designer Ribbon Rounds (retired); EK Success corner rounder; 3M foam mounting tape.

I hosted a little gathering for my stamp club tonight. I provided a little project (gift card holders that I think they enjoyed making), and the other gals brought treats. There were lots of laughs - a good time - exactly what I needed to get me in the spirit of things!

The fact that tomorrow is Friday is exciting. My only issue is deciding what to do on the weekend. Baking is something I think I should do - mostly because other people do it. In reality, none of us are all that big on sweets, so that project can probably be moved to the bottom of the list. Shopping is at the top of the list. Sigh. Not my favorite activity, although I'll probably get into it once I get started. I saw some cute gingerbread kits at Walmart, too, and am wondering if that wouldn't make a fun Sunday afternoon project for Bjorn and Mathias. I'm thinking that they might find decorating a house with candy quite intriguing . . . at least for a while! On Saturday, we're going to deliver bunk beds for them to their Daddy's house. They've seen them and are quite excited. To quote Bjorn, "It's going to be so awesome."

For now, I'm going to go read myself to sleep, which will probably entail about two pages of the book I'm currently reading. I hope your week is going well. Thanks for stopping by!

I started a tradition with my 8 grandchildren several years ago with the Wilton box of 8 gingerbread cookies to decorate, all I do is make the icing and they have the fun of decorating, now that the youngest is 6 they really come up with some very cute cookies! Now I get asked when are we going to to them grandma!!!
This Saturday, I reply!
