From the moment I saw the new Family Ties sets (two sets, one adults and the other, children) in the spring Close To My Heart catalog, I deemed them a "must have." And, I love 'em for nothing more than their cuteness.
I couldn't resist making a card for a kid/boy first. The card sketch is from Originals. The image was colored with markers with the exception of his sleeves, shorts, and shoes. For them, I combined markers with a blending pen.
Materials & Tools: Colonial White, Moonstruck, and Topiary cardstock; Route 66 paper packet; Black, Moonstruck, and Topiary ink pads; Cranberry, Moonstruck, Baby Pink, Brown Bag, and Tombow #850 Flesh markers; Family Ties-Children, Happy Birthday, and Simple Stitches stamp sets; Sunflower mini brads; 1 and 1-1/4 inch circle punches; 3M foam mounting tape.
Tonight, I've been thinking about what was happening on this day five years ago. By this time, I'd been to the hospital and held my first grandchild, Bjorn Clark Carlson, in my arms for the first time. With no preconceived notion of how I was going to feel about being a grandmother, I fell head over heals in love. Since, he and his younger brother have filled a heart that was already full to the point of overflowing. Tonight, I am grateful. I'm also tired and quite certain my job will kill me. LOL. Thanks for stopping by. I hope you're having a great week!

Cute card! I love those stamp sets too!
Oh my heavens, that IS one of the cutest stamps I've seen in a LONG time. You did a fantastic job with it.
I hope you get the rest you need to get through another day at work.
Extra hugs to you!
