Two Cards, Three Challenges

My first card is my take on Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge #53. There's nothing much about it the requires explanation. I do wish I had more of the ribbon I used on this one. I bought it quite some time ago at Wal-Mart and initially thought it was bright red. It wasn't, but it is a perfect match for CTMH's Tulip.

Materials and Tools: Colonial White, Vanilla Cream, Chocolate, and Tulip cardstock; Amore Level 2 paper packet; Tulip and Cocoa ink pads; Soul Mates stamp set; Ribbon from Wal-Mart; Spring Blossom Mini-Medley Accents Collection; 1/2-inch circle punch; Sponge dauber; 3M foam mounting tape.

My next card is my interpretation of A Sketch for You to Try on the I {heart} 2 Stamp blog. The challenge this week on the Our Creative Corner (OCC) blog is entitled "Crazy for Hearts" and the challenge is to make a card that features two or more hearts. Both of these cards fit the bit.

Materials & Tools: Colonial White, Blush, and Chocolate cardstock; Amore Level 2 paper packet; Tulip and Cocoa ink pads; Soul Mates stamp set; Spring Blossom Mini-Medley Accents Collection; Cuttlebug w/Nestabilites Classic Circles set; Sponge dauber.

After staying up late, I slept in until 9:30 this morning, which is something I don't do very often anymore. Out my window, I see what appears to be a beautiful day. Yesterday, the high temperature here was 41 and today, it's supposed to be in the 20s. Tomorrow, the high is supposed to be minus 1, before the temperatures gradually climb again throughout the week. Once January passes, we can begin to imagine spring in Minnesota even though it may still be several months away.
