Stamper's Compensation?

First, I'm not whining nor am I looking for sympathy. But, I'm injured. Tonight while stamping, I fell out of my chair ... literally. You can laugh. It's OK. I'm not hurt that badly. Evidently, one can't lean too far when sitting in a cheap office chair, because I'll be darned if the thing didn't tip over, leaving me twisted up like a pretzel on a the floor with my head jammed against a bookcase in my tight little corner. The arm of the chair must have jabbed me in the area of my right kidney. It hurts like hell-o. I twisted my knee, too. I'm limping.

I received no sympathy from my not-sweet-tonight husband, who only managed to yell from his recliner, "What the hell-o are you doing?" "You don't have to yell. I'm four feet away. I fell out of my chair," I moaned. "How did you do that? Do you need help?" he asked in an only slightly more civil tone. I replied with a prideful "No!" before managing to untwist myself (it took some doing), stand up, and assess my injuries.

I somehow think had the incident been caught on video, it would be pretty darned funny. It might have been my moment to shine on YouTube. LOL. Now that I've shared my funny story, I'll sign off and go to bed. My fingers are crossed I'll be able to get out of bed come morning! Later ...

Update: It's morning. I'm up. My side is a little sore, but I'm fine. Thanks for all the sweet comments, but seriously, I told the story for the laugh factor. Short of a few paper cuts, my stamp-related injuries have been minimal through the years. Have a great day!

oh good grief! I think you would definitely qualify for the you-tube bloopers, Kathi!
But remember....you won't be alone in that area!
Hope you're right as rain in the am!

Oh dear, hope you are ok! This sort of happened to me when I first redid my scraproom. I used to have carpet and a rolling chair - didn't roll so well. I changed to laminate, still with the rolling chair. I am a stand up crafter but went to sit down and the darn thing rolled out from under me, I fell to the floor and hit my head. Got up chuckling and like you, thought it would have been a funny thing to see!

As one who is in physical therapy from just sitting and twisting in my chair. You have my sympathy and I do hope all is well tomorrow.

Oh my goodness! First up, I DO hope you aren't too sore this morning! And I have to confess to giggling a little at your description of what happened. I could visualize it so well (happening to me). Not that your getting hurt is funny, but the sight of it.

Our office chair backs don't have a "stop" on them either if you lean back in them and I've leaned a bit too far a time or two...very disconcerting.

Sorry to hear about your accident and that Marv wasn't very sympathetic. Here's hoping you make a full recovery.

I am literally ROFLMAO, This is something that would happen to me too, in fact I am surprised it hasn't. Hope you are not too sore. Thank you for making me laugh on a very bad day.

Maybe you should set up a Kathi-Cam for future episodes ...?
Seriously tho, glad you're alright! If that had happened to me, I'd still be lying there trying to get untwisted in the tiny little space between my computer desk, my stamp drawers, my printer station and my work desk. Very little room for movement there! My family might have come looking for me once they realized there was no breakfast on the table! LOL

Sometimes when I am leaning too far forward in my chair I wonder about it tipping. So far that hasn't happened to me. Hope you are feeling much better.
