Doubling Up Again

No "one-for-two-challenges" card tonight. Instead, it's two cards! On a week night, no less! Both were made with stamps from Unity Stamps, each of which "spoke to me" in different ways. Both cards were made with the same color scheme and very similar sketches.

While the sentiment stamp I used to make this first card is one I won't use often, I can see myself using it to make a card for someone who is in a time of transition. I understand the words, because I've lived them.

Materials & Tools: White Daisy, Holiday Red, and Black cardstock; Black ink pad; Unity Stamps Blossom stamp; May Arts ribbon; Sparkles (retired); Cuttlebug w/Floral Fantasy embossing folder; 3M foam mounting tape.

This second card was made with another stamp that "spoke to me." For me, it's a cute representation of a mother's bond with her child. It will be a great stamp to use to make a baby card or, in this case, my mother-in-law's Mother's Day card.

Materials & Tools: White Daisy, Cranberry, and Black cardstock; Black and Cranberry ink pads; Unity Stamps Love Ewe and Impression Obsession Sentiments II stamp sets; Black mini brad; Stampin' Up Photo Corner punch; Prismacolor colored pencils; Gamsol odorless mineral spirits; Blending stumps; Cuttlebug w/Swiss Dots embossing folder.

How was your day? Mine was pretty much a repeat of yesterday with the exception that my house is quiet tonight. I'm sure that will change when Marv gets home from the golf course. For now, I'm going to sneak over to my corner and see what happens. Thanks for stopping by!

Ohhhh these are so lovely! The sentiment on the first one is awesome... The sheep are just darling. I love the shading around the sheep to make them look whiter than white, it's great!
Both are beautiful cards.

I love both of them! I agree, the sentiment on the top one speaks to me, too! It is a perfect card for transitions.

The mom and baby baa (that's "Kristen speak" for sheep) are precious! I think that is one of the sweetest Mother's day images I've seen!

Wonderful cards, Kathi. I can see how the first one would speak to you and so many of us.

And I agree that the second card is one of the sweetest I've seen in a long time.

Hope you have a wonderful day, my friend! It's your "Friday" isn't it??

I absolutely love the quote on the first card! Just may have to stop over at Unity and pick one up for myself! Really like the design on both cards! I always struggle with incorporating large images!
