A Quick Post

After a busy evening, I'm running late, so this will be short. I received a Close To My Heart order today and have a quick card made with stamps and papers from the new Summer catalog, which went into effect May 1. One of the new accessory products is a set of foam die-cut numbers. While I'm not real big on foam, they're cute and colorful and will make cute accents for kids' cards and scrapbook pages. The papers are from the new Animal Cookies Creative Basics Collection.

Materials & Tools: White Daisy and Tulip Cardstock; Animal Cookies Creative Basics Collection; Clover Meadow, Dutch Blue, and Tulip ink pads; Childhood and Happy Birthday stamp sets; Foam Die-Cut Numbers; Ribbon from my stash; Black My Legacy Writer.

We had a little belated birthday supper this evening for Marv's mom who turned 84 (I think) on April 28. Working until 5 and then entertaining is not really my cup of tea, but the stir fry menu was easy with sweet Marv doing all the prep work before I got home. I let the Dairy Queen "bake" the cake. The only complaint I received was that I only had one candle for "Gate-gamma's" cake. Mathias declared, "She's a lot more than that!" When Grandpa explained that 84 candles would melt the cake, he relented. I guess I'd better stock up on birthday candles. LOL. As their daycare provider is off tomorrow, the little boys are here. I'm glad I don't have to work tomorrow, because it will give me the opportunity to take Bjorn to school and check out preschool. He "graduates" in a couple of weeks. With that, I'm going to call it a day and go to bed. Enjoy tomorrow! I'll talk to you again then ...

Happy belated Birthday to Great Grandma. My MIL's birthday was April 28th too - the family certainly missed her on that day. Hoping your MIL had a great day to celebrate. Love the card. I am looking forward to unpacking all my scrap stuff and getting back into the groove of things!
Have a great weekend Kathi

I love the bright and fun kite card! The ribbon on the tail is perfect.

I also love the photo! Look at the boys "helping gate gamma" blow out her single candle. You're lucky they didn't blow all the icing off onto you and your camera. It's a priceless photo.

Enjoy your boys today!
