Perfect ...

As you can see, I found shoes and a little clutch - just the right size to hold my tissues, enough makeup to repair what tears mess up, and sufficient money to treat myself to a couple of cocktails once it's all over. The shoes were waiting for me in the first store I walked into, the purse in the second. The color of the satin shoes and the trim on the little purse match the satin beneath the cutwork on the bodice of my outfit exactly. Perfect - just the way everything else is coming together. A few days ago, I didn't know it would be this way. I am so blessed.

Oh, there are still a few things to do, and I anticipate there will be a kink or two. A few minutes ago, the groom-to-be called. "How many napkin rings did you make?" "Four hundred," I replied. "Well, we have 100 more rings that we have napkins," he said. "It's not a problem, Dusty, just call them in the morning, and they'll deliver more when they deliver the rest of the linens tomorrow."

I say it again. I am so blessed. Between stops on our little shopping excursion last night, Miranda shared some happy memories of her mom. I was so glad to hear them. Miranda was 10 when, after being sick for many years, her mom succumbed to colon cancer at the age of 37. Sadly, most of Miranda's memories involve her mom being sick, either from the treatment or the disease itself. But last night, she talked about the things her mom made and the craft shows they attended together - good memories. Tonight, if I could have one wish it would be that her mom could be with us on Saturday to see her daughter, who is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside, marry my oh-so-handsome son. She would be so proud. About that boy of mine, he's got to know that he's second only in birth order and that until I take my last breath, I will be here for him.

Yup, I'm sappy tonight. My heart is so full. Thank you for stopping by. Although I haven't had enough time to leave a lot of comments on your blogs, I've been thinking of you as I know you are thinking of me. We'll make up for lost time ... after the wedding.

In the interim, stop back tomorrow, Friday, and Saturday for sneak peeks of some of the new stamps from Sherrod Studio. While my offerings will be simple due to time constraints, you'll get the idea with much more, I'm sure, from the rest of the Design Team.

Sweet. So glad you found the shoes and purse and didn't have to agonize over them. Leaves you time to panic over something else. -grins-

Oh Kathi, I'm getting all teary and starting to clog up! Your post is so sweet and I'm so glad to hear from you! Miranda is very lucky to have you in her life - you will both be good for each other.

Perfectly gorgeous is what I say! I'm so happy that you found them with ease. You certainly deserve to have it all fall into place so well.

What a touching story about Miranda. I can relate to her in some ways as my mom was an angel watching over us at my wedding. I'm so glad for her that she can remember good things about her relationship with her mom.

I can also say with certainty that she is extremely BLESSED to have you for a mother-in-law and I hope she knows that.

Enjoy the festivities, Kathi! Huge hugs to you!

Gorgeous shoes & purse! I cried reading about Miranda & the memories of her mother. Such a special day and she won't be their. My Mother was not at my wedding either.
She passed in 89,i was married in 97. But my sister did something very special in memory of my Mother. She bought some beautiful flowers and had them sitting at the alter. The day was complete!
Have a blessed day Kathi. Miranda has gained a wonderful MIL.
Happy Hugs!!
