A Kiss is Just a Kiss

Treasure Life_Nov 2009

Where that title came from, I dunno. LOL. What I do know is where I got my inspiration for this card. It was from these great cards, along with a tutorial on “stamp kissing” on the Poppy Paperie blog. Using the leaf stamp from my Treasure Life set, I inked it up with black ink and kissed the polka dot stamp in the Spot On Background set. What I ended up with was a fun, textured look.

Materials & Tools: Colonial White, Bamboo, and Black cardstock; Silhouette paper packet; Black and Bamboo ink pads; Treasure Life and Spot On Backgrounds stamp sets; Black Bitty Brads; 3/8-inch natural twill ribbon; Black/white polka dot ribbon from reasonableribbon.com; Fiskars Apron Lace border punch; Sponge dauber.

It was a fun, busy day with Bjorn and Mathias here while their Daddy was at work. Tonight, I rest. How was your day? Any Black Friday shoppers among my blog buddies? I’m more apt to see what Cyber Monday has to offer and let the Man in Brown due my legwork for me. LOL.

Later …

LOVE your card. I was JUST there at that site looking at the kissing cards. LOVE your interpretation of this technique. Have a great night Kathi!

Right on! I'm all for letting the MIB do the work! I am just so frustrated by the crowds! I spent the day at home (except for a quick stop at the post office and grocery store - those don't count!).

I love your card and laughed at the kissing reference, cute!

Thank goodness tomorrow is only Saturday! Enjoy -

Neat idea. You have been making some nice cards with the Silhouette paper pack. I'm going to have to get mine out.

I did not go shopping today. I'm waiting until Monday.

I braved Black Friday if you count waiting for the crowds to thin and buying whatever bargains were left over...I love leftovers!
