What can I say? I guess I can tell you about my sparkly brad. Have you seen Close To My Heart’s new Twinkle Brads? Very pretty, but the wrong colors for this card. With Moonstruck only silver would do. I thought of using embossing ink and silver powder to cover a brad, but it wouldn’t have been very sparkly. Instead, I took a Winter White Bigger Brad and covered it with Liquid Glass before dipping it in the silver glitter that is part of my Glitter Stack. Once it was dry, it was exactly what I wanted. One more thing, the sentiment is mounted with …. you guessed it… foam mounting tape! Predictable, I am! LOL.
Materials & Tools: White Daisy and Moonstruck cardstock; Moonstruck ink pad; Holiday Jingle stamp set; White Daisy Bigger Brad; Liquid Glass; Glitter Stack; Cuttlebug w/Snow Dots embossing folder; 3M foam mounting tape.
How’s your weekend going? Winter has arrived in northern Minnesota. It was like 7 below when we got up this morning. However, while I know it sounds a little crazy, it was a beautiful day. Sunny with no wind. Wind is what makes cold unbearable.
I drove to Grand Forks, ND today for a bridal shower for our nephew’s fiancée. My mother-in-law rode with me. With an hour’s driving time each way, the noon event pretty much took up the whole day.
Tonight, I stamp!
Your visits are appreciated! Thanks! Later…

While it is brrrr cold here in Iowa we did not hit 7 below. (Thank goodness)
This is beautiful!
Kathi,
Thanks for explaining how you did that with the brad - I will have to try it! Your card is wonderful - I do love your simple Saturday cards!
I don't know how you do it with 7 degrees. It was in the 50's here today and I was chilled to the bone! Had to take a hot shower to warm up. Yikes. I would just die up North!!! Glad your day was beautiful!
Yep...you definitely are on the fringe of the Arctic Express! LOL I had to giggle at Sharli's comment.
