Filigree Fantasy

Good morning! Thanks for your well wishes. I’m feeling much better today. I was delighted that so many of you recognized the lyrics of the Beatles’ song. All My Loving was the opening number when they debuted on the Ed Sullivan Show on February 9, 1964. At 10 years of age, I was among the 73 million viewers who watched them that night – the most viewers to date for a television program and back in the day when a million was an almost inconceivable number. Back to ‘64, I developed what would become a lifelong crush on Paul McCartney that night. I still think he’s cute. LOL.  Filigree Fantasy_Jan 2010

OK. You didn’t stop by for music trivia. Here’s a simple card created with Verve Stamps’ Filigree Fantasy set. The red Stickles glimmer in person. I wanted to add some ribbon, too, every which way I tried to add it, it looked like it didn’t belong there. I gave up.

Materials & Tools: Black and White Daisy Textured cardstock; Black ink pad; Verve Stamps Filigree Fantasy and Close To My Heart Happy Birthday stamp sets; Christmas Red Stickles; Fiskars Apron Lace border punch.

I slept away most of yesterday. From the amount of sweat that exuded from my body, I’m guessing I was feverish. The headache was blinding. Again, I thought it might be the real deal influenza. If it was, it was short-lived. I’m fine today, which, with lots to do, is a good thing.

I hope that you are having a wonderful weekend. Again, thanks for stopping by! Later…

Kathi, sorry to hear you weren't feeling well. It's nice to know that we can't pass on our nastie little germies over the blogosphere. I would have given everyone an upper respiratory infection and bronchitis. I would hate to have to stay away from my blogging friends because I didn't feel well. Wouldn't that be horrible?
I love your card. I was just thinking how I could make that using the CB from Silhouette. My future son-in-law's grandmother passed away this week and I might be able to adapt this design for a sympathy card. You can see how much I like it, I want to use it -grins-
Paul McCartney was here in Jax for the Super Bowl several years ago. I was working for the boy scouts raising money for my son's account and we worked the Super Bowl in housekeeping. I was about 10 feet away from Paul McCartney. His body guard did not like me standing there watching him each time he left his suite, but I didn't care. As soon as he left the suite I went in to clean it and there was a Chap Stick tube on the bathroom counter. I gave it to my daughter, who cherishes it. She'd never use it or anything.

Hope you are on the mend.
