The Real Deal

A while back, I was inspired by this stamp to make this card. Since, I have acquired the much coveted, inspirational stamp, wAntique Background_Hero Arts_Apr 2010hich I combined  with a couple other Hero Arts stamps to make this evening’s offering. To make my card, I stamped the background stamp twice and cut out the butterflies, two of which were colored with markers. I embossed the wings of the third  with  clear  embossing powder. I was happy with the results, which, in real life, are much less sparkly than they appear in the photo. As for the wings of the largest butterfly, they curled up on their own, most likely from the moisture of the marker.

Materials & Tools: Colonial White and Cocoa cardstock; Cocoa, Bamboo, and Garden Green ink pads; Sunkiss Yellow, Sunny Yellow, Sunflower, Autumn Terracotta, and Grey Wool markers; Clear embossing powder; Hero Arts Antique Writing, Three Ferns, and Silhouette Fern stamps; CTMH Say it in Style stamp set;  Antiqued copper mini brads; Sponge dauber; Embossing heat tool.

Wow, it’s Friday already again tomorrow. No complaints and no specific plans for the weekend. In my book, that’s a good thing. There’s lots to do around here, and maybe – just maybe – with no interruptions I’ll get something done. A girl can hope … How was your day? A good one I hope. Tomorrow, too! With that wish, I’ll add a note of gratitude for all your support and sign off for tonight. Take care, friends.

Gosh, Kathi! You and I are falling in love with the same Hero Arts stamps! LOL I didn't buy this one - but I might have to now that I've seen what you can do with it! AWESOME card! Truly.

Happy Friday!

What a neat card. I have that same Hero Arts background stamp. The way you did the butterflies is neat.
