Simple Saturday

Enjoy Every Moment_Apr 2010

Blooming from late spring through the summer in fields and along roadways, the common daisy is classified as a noxious weed in Minnesota. Some of us don’t care. We love ‘em anyway.

I colored my image with colored pencils. The sentiment was stamped on vellum with Olive ink and then embossed using Olive embossing powder. I love the simple patterned paper that looks like textured fabric.

Materials & Tools: White Daisy and Black cardstock; DCWV Indian Summer Matstack; Vellum; Black and Olive ink pads; Olive embossing powder; Close To My Heart Enjoy Every Moment stamp set; White Daisy Edge Anchors; Prismacolor colored pencils; Embossing heat tool.

I’m on  my way out the door to go do a little shopping. It’s going to be a busy day. Whether you are relaxing or, like me, have a lot going on, I hope your day is wonderful. Catch ya later!

Beautiful, Kathi! I love the daisies too! On my drive to work the roadside is covered in yellow daisy-like wildflowers. They are so cheerful!

Wonderfully balanced, the vellum greeting is a surprise that looks GREAT!

Hugs!

Love the card. We have white daisies growing all over the place here in Michigan. We even have them in our yard. ho

This is gorgeous Kathi. I also love the texture that it looks like the paper has. Have a great day and a very happy Easter.

So very pretty! I love daisies and you've captured them very realistically here. You should do a tutorial on coloring with the colored pencils...I know it would help me. TFS
