Hello, blogosphere! Here’s my take on Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge #131. I don’t know if there is much to say about the construction of my card other than I colored my images with sponges and ink from my stamp pads. Additionally, the pumpkin is mounted to the square with foam tape. Speaking of pumpkin, several of the stamp companies are making dies that coordinate with the stamps they offer like the set I used from Prickley Pear. They are pretty cool.
Materials & Tools: Colonial White and Chocolate cardstock; Passages paper packet; Chocolate, New England Ivy, Autumn Terracotta, Olive, and Tim Holtz Antique Linen Distressing Ink stamp pads; Prickley Pear Clearly Beautiful Pumpkins stamp set; KaiserKraft pearl accents; Round sponges; Cuttlebug w/Prickley Pear Pumpkin die and Nestabilities Lacey Squares; Fiskars Apron Lace border punch; 3M foam mounting tape.
A Slice of Life: How are you doing? I hope you are having a great weekend. I had a lazy day. With workplace woes getting the best of me, I don’t have energy or enthusiasm for much of anything right now. Every few days, I give myself a little pep talk to get me off my duff for a day or two. I need to do that tonight, as we are entertaining for our oldest son’s 32nd birthday tomorrow. I need to figure out a menu and then get my backside to the grocery store first thing tomorrow morning. It will work out.
Again, I hope your weekend is awesome. Thanks for stopping by and for your sweet comments. They are always so appreciated.

Hi Kathi!
Your pumpkin card is just right! I love the little subtle swirl stamped on the pumpkin and I agree that the new stamps with matching dies are terrific! They make it so easy to "cut it out" and pop it up!
I hear you in the up and down department! That's why my weekend wound being devoted to "me". It's healthy sometimes. I know you'll pull together and the birthday celebration will be full of fun and love!
Hugs!
Love your pumpkin with that bit of swirl stamped inside. Those dies look very cool, and so does your border punching! I was wondering what you used for that mat and it looks like you punched it, from your tools description. Awesome. The colors in your card are gorgeous as well!
I so hear you on the feeling up and down with life. I'm sure you will pull together and wonderful celebration for your son and it will help perk you back up.
Hugs to you!
Such a lovely card!
Hope you enjoyed the birthday party on 10-10-10! Such a special day! My DH turned 39 yesterday (10-10-10)! And a gal from our church turned 10 on 10-10-10! How fun! Good luck with finding your energy!
This is so pretty. I love that image and the papers you used. And I'm just a wee bit jealous that you have that new lacey squares nestie. That is definitely on the top of my list.
I hope you are doing well.
Thumbs up for the pumpkin card! It is really pretty! I love the layout.
