As is my tendency to do these days, I picked up a few little pink things recently and thought I would make a card to go with them. The sketch is from Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 94. The sweet image is a digital image from by LORi designs. I had fun paper-piecing her dress, shoes, hair bow, bag, shoes, and carriage with patterned paper and cardstock. Paper-piecing reminds me of cutting out paper dolls – a favorite activity of mine 50 or so years ago. LOL.
Materials & Tools: White Daisy, Lilac Mist, and Baby Pink cardstock; Sweet Pea paper packet (retired); Baby Pink, Grey Flannel; and Blush ink pads; Brown Bag, Baby Pink, and Tombow #580 Flesh markers; Dove blending pen; Girl with Stroller digital image from by LORi designs; Say it in Style stamp set; Silver Bitty Brads; Buttons from my stash; Stampin’ Up Word Window punch; Cuttlebug w/Nestabilities Classic Circles and Classic Scallop Circles sets; Pink chalk with sponge applicator; Round sponge.
A Slice of Life: Other than paying a visit to my mom this afternoon, I had another quiet, lazy day. With the holiday season fast approaching, this might be the last quiet weekend for a while. That is OK. I’m looking forward to the busyness of Christmas and, of course, the birth of Baby Girl Carlson. Will she be here for Christmas? Maybe. Due on the 30th, there is the possibility she will be a New Year’s baby. I don’t care. I’m just excited to meet her.
Now, I’m off to check out my closet and decide what to wear tomorrow. A three-day workweek. Yippee. We’re going to my sister and brother-in-law’s house for Thanksgiving. The little boys are going to spend the day with us on Friday. It’s gonna be a good week. You have a good one, too!

What a sweet card. Have the proud parents decided on a name for Baby Girl Carlson?
When I met Kambrie up close and personal I cried tears of joy.
What a darling baby card. I love how you paper pieced the image. How fun for everyone that the baby will be here so soon.
Very sweet! I love the paper piecing. Happy Thanksgiving to you and the family!
What an absolutely adorable card, Kathi! That paper piecing looks terrific! It's hard to believe that Baby Girl Carlson is so close to making her appearance (although I suspect Mom-to-be may be feeling forever pregnant).
Enjoy your week, my friend. Sounds like it's going to be a good one!
This is just darling!
Kathi,
What a darling card - Yes, I guess you would be thinking pink these days! LOL
Have a blessed Thanksgiving with your loved ones, Kathi!
Hugs!
