An Attitude of Gratitude

Silhouette Grass_November 2010

This is my plan for November – to make a conscious effort to stop worrying about what I do not have and the situations I cannot control and  concentrate on all that I have and all that I can do to make the world a better place. Making the world a better place sounds pretty lofty, doesn’t it? Initially, I wrote “my world” but thought again. If I am a good wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, friend, employee, citizen, my example will make the world a better place – a least a little bit.

And now about my card, which was inspired by this beautiful card that was posted today on The Hero Club Blog. I would have loved to have duplicated the inspiration card right down to the last detail, including that beautiful textured paper in colors I love. Instead, I worked with with I have and am satisfied with the results.

A Slice of Life: It was a busy day at work, making for a tired Kathi tonight. Actually, I don’t think I have recovered from the weekend quite yet. Perhaps one more good night of sleep will bring me back to full steam. I have noticed one thing in the last few days, however. Overall, I feel so much better without that constant shingles pain. The rash is so much easier to contend with, and that’s starting to go away, too.

With a couple of things to do before bed, I’ll sign off with a thank you and wish that your Tuesday is a great day.

I'm so relieved to hear that you are starting to feel better, Kathi. I'm sure it's a great relief to you as well.

Your card is excellent, my dear. Even if you didn't have all the same supplies, it's hard to tell. You've done a great job on it.

I really like your vow to live with an attitude of gratitude. I know you will do well with it, because in so many ways you already do live that way (even if you don't think so).

Hope you have a wonderful week, dear sweet friend of mine!

As always, your card is so beautiful Kathi. It looks fantastic.

I like your attitude that you described at the beginning of your post. If we all did that, what kind of world would this be?

What a great card. I took a look at the Hero Arts Website. We have been gone all day and I got into something and my eyes are watering like mad.

LOVE your card - I marked that one today also - and I need a sympathy card (sadly). I love how you blended the colors at the edge.

I had forgotten about the shingles (bet you wish you could forget!) - I'm glad they are starting to heal. Yes, dear friend, they definitely drain you! Just ZAP any energy you have. So, we are also grateful that you are on the mend.

Hugs!

Love your card and your attitude. Come change my world!!! My mom and sister have both had shingles. I know they are extremely painful. You poor baby!
