Here are a couple of cards I made with my all-time favorite Close To My Heart set, Treasure Life. For this first one, I used markers to color on the stamps to create a water color look. The bottom piece was stamped with one of the stamps from the retiring Weathered Backgrounds set. It's typical that around the time I start using something it's retired :-(
Materials & Tools: Colonial White and Black cardstock; Stampin' Up Craft cardstock; Black and Bamboo ink pads; Carnation Pink and Garden Green markers; Treasure Life September SOTM, Say it in Style, and Weathered Background stamp sets; Pink grosgrain ribbon from Walmart.
My second card was made using the Faux Dry Embossing technique featured on Splitcoast Stampers last week (I think). While I don't think there's anything about my card that resembles dry embossing, the look is kind of cool nonetheless. The technique involves stamping your image with white ink and then with colored ink, moving the image over ever so slightly. I used Papertrey Ink cardstock, because I've found that CTMH's White Daisy pigment ink seems to dry faster on cardstock from PI or Stampin' Up. I would assume that has something to do with the coating/finish on CTMH paper. Loving the polka dots and the colors, I find the simple design of this card to be very appealing. This is one I wouldn't mind mass producing were I to have a situation that warranted it.
Materials & Tools: White Daisy Cardstock; Papertrey Ink Berry Sorbet Cardstock and Patterned Paper; CTMH White Daisy Pigment ink pad; Papertrey Ink Berry Sorbet ink pad; Treasure Life September SOTM and Say it in Style stamp sets; Stampin' Up Word Window punch; Hole punch; White mini brads.
I woke up to a quiet household this morning. I vaguely remember Marv telling me he was leaving before planting a kiss on my cheek at 6:30 or so. It won't be quiet for long, however, as the little guys should be arriving soon. I think I've got just about enough time to take a quick shower and maybe throw a couple loads of clothes into the washing machines. I hope you have a great day, and thanks for stopping! Later . . .

I love both of your cards and you make me want to use treasure life time and time again!
Simply beautiful...soft and elegant. Love the second one! I gotta figure out a way to try that since I don't have that set...
I am copying BOTH of these ... :) Inspired again ... Thanks.
these cards are so pretty!
I love that you said about the time you start to use something, it gets discontinued- that is exactly my story!
