The Hangover Continues

I'm just popping in to let anyone who cares (and I know there are at least a couple of you) that I'm OK. I'm just not very creative in the way of papercrafting at the moment.

We celebrated Christmas with my extended family yesterday. With that event over, I look forward to a quiet New Year's. We're taking care of the boys for their mother, so I suppose we'll have a little "party." The cool thing about two and three-year-olds is that it doesn't require anything more than a couple of cookies or bowl of popcorn to create a gala occasion.

By the way, the punch I made for yesterday's gathering was good - so good, in fact, that I deem it a recipe worth sharing.
Holiday Slush
1 3 oz. pkg. lime or cherry Jello (depending on if you want red or green)
1 cup boiling water
1 quart pineapple juice
7 oz. ReaLemon lemon juice
7 cups water
2-1/2 cups sugar
  1. Melt Jello in boiling water, stirring until completely dissolved.
  2. Add remaining ingredients, stirring until the sugar is dissolved.
  3. Pour into freezer containers (I used 2-gallon freezer bags) and freeze until slushy.
  4. When ready to serve, pour into punch bowl and add two 2-liter bottles of Sprite, 7-Up, or ginger ale to taste.
I used cherry Jello and doubled the recipe so that there would be enough to last throughout the afternoon. I didn't use as much carbonated beverage as recommended, only using two bottles of Sprite for the whole batch.
