Insomnia

As sleep isn't in the cards at the moment, I thought I'd get up and stamp. Isn't this paper gorgeous? It's the new Creative Basics Silhouette Collection, which will be available January 1. The paper packet includes 16 sheets of patterned paper, eight sheets of each design, and eight yards of black ribbon with Colonial White stitching. For my first card, I combined the Black/Colonial White paper with Cranberry. The rose is from the Cherish set. I used New England Ivy for the stem. For whatever reason, this wasn't what I expected the next Creative Basics set to be. I was thinking that it would be more seasonal, something specifically for spring. I'm not disappointed. This paper is beautiful, very versatile, and best of all, timeless. One of the best things I received in my CTMH order was a sampler of all of the new papers in the spring catalog. Looking at the book there were a couple of paper sets that didn't appeal to me. That changed when I saw the samples. Each and every paper packet is awesome with few, if any, patterns that won't work for cardmaking. My only problem is that I didn't want to want them! As I'm yawning, I'm going to give the sleep thing another chance. Later . . .

STUNNING! I love this paper--can't wait to get mine. The stamp you used is one I have and haven't used since floral impressions was new--guess I'd better dig it out. I love the way it looks with these papers.
