One More Christmas Card

With little more than one week to go before Christmas, I was going to back off on the holiday cards. That was until I saw the idea for this card in my new Papercraft's book, The Ultimate Paper Crafts Collection. In the book, they decorated a red gift bag with the design and made a matching 3x3-inch gift card - super cute. To make my card, I used Cranberry, Olive, White Daisy and Black cardstocks. The Olive and White Daisy strips are 1-1/4 inches wide. The ornament circles were cut with a 1-inch paper punch. I cut the tops freehand. The hangers are a 3-inch piece of gold wire. I curled the end and then pierce a hole in the card front where I wanted the wire to go through, taping it down in the back. The gold spiral clips were adhered to the ornaments with the recommended Liquid Glass. A special metal glue is available, too. I had some once, but it actually dried up before I got around to using it - imagine . . . With my need to be creative satisfied (for a little while, at least), I'm off to get some work done. I've got a pile of laundry to do. With Daddy studying for semester finals, the little people have spent a lot of time with us this week, and I'll just say that potty training makes for a lot of extra laundry. More than likely, I'll be back later in the day. I tend to take my "breaks" in Kathi's Corner!
