Hippity, Hoppity, Easter's on it's Way . . .

This is not a new project by any means, just new to me. The tutorial can be found here on the Splitcoast Stampers website.

Deviating from the tutorial, I did not use Modge Podge. I don't like the stuff. For this application, I used a tape runner. Had I deemed full coverage necessary in adhering my paper to the box, I would have used Yes! paste. I also applied paper to both sides of the coasters, seeing it as a good opportunity to use up some retired background and texture paper. The lining gives it a more finished look. Additionally, my coasters are 3-1/2 inches square in comparison to the 4-inch coasters the "recipe" calls for. Four-inch coasters in small quantities can be purchased here, as noted in the tutorial.

Materials & Tools: 3-1/2 inch paper coasters, Sweet Pea paper packet and retired Spring Harmony Background & Texture papers; White Daisy and Breeze cardstock; Baby Pink, Key Lime, Orange, Sunny Yellow, and Amethyst markers; My Favorite Things Eggs-tra Special stamp set; Crop-O-Dile; Pink grosgrain ribbon from Wal-Mart; Liquid Glass; Marvy 1-11/16 circle punch; Cricut w/Mini Monograms cartridge; 3M foam mounting tape.

Good grief. It's noon already. Actually, not having gotten enough stamping and papercrafting in yesterday, I stayed up until the wee hours fooling around with this box and slept late this morning. Thus, when I'm thinking today is "short," I'll have to keep in mind that yesterday was long. Now, I'm going to go access the domestic situation and see what I need to do. I did accomplish the laundry yesterday, so that's done. It just needs to be put away. Maybe it won't be so bad, and I'll find more time to stamp . . . Check back!

Yeah...just what I need, an idea to use up some of my extra coasters I have from picture frames. Now I've got the inspiration, wonder if I'll find the motivation to try it myself?
As always, I so appreciate all the time you put into your blogs: both with the pictures and the details. Thanks!

As always Kathi your cards are beautiful. I loved the hockey pic you took.

Oh this is adorable Kathi! I've not been too successful with Mod Podge myself, so I understand. One of these days I'll have to try the Yes! paste.

Thanks for sharing!
