Looks Like Spring

Once February rolls around, spring doesn't seem so far away. I have no idea what the deal was on Groundhog's Day but wouldn't put much stock in a groundhog anyway. With regard to when spring comes to Minnesota, my husband has been able to play golf on his April 12th birthday 15 times in the last 30 years.

This card didn't photograph well either. The paper looks OK but the photo doesn't do justice to the butterflies. I stamped the solid butterfly on my Colonial White square and then the detail butterfly on vellum, embossing it with clear embossing powder. I think the Paper Garden paper packet will lend itself well to vellum, which I love and don't use often enough.

As you may have noted, I posted throughout the day today. I woke up with some kind of stomach bug that required I stay in close proximity of a bathroom. I didn't feel all that sick, so I stamped. I did go into work for a couple of hours this afternoon. As I'm the only person who does my job, it's hard to be gone without advance notice. I feel fine this evening with the exception that I haven't eaten anything today and don't feel like it . . . yet. I'm going to try to go in early tomorrow and see if I can't make up a little time. That said, I'm going to go read Mathias and Bjorn a bedtime story and see if I can't convince them to turn in early.

Materials & Tools: Colonial White and Sweet Leaf cardstocks, Paper Garden paper packet, Vellum, Blush, Sweet Leaf, Petal and Bamboo ink pads, Butterfly Kiss and Faith stamp sets, Ribbon from the retired Colonial White Designer Ribbon Rounds collection.

Very pretty. I don't have that paper, but I htink I have the rest of the supplies or some supplies to "wing" it.

I'm sorry to hear that you aren't feeling all that well. I hope you are back to 100% soon!!!

I am loving all your Paper Garden artwork. It's funny, when I got the spring catty that was the one I liked the least. Then I ordered it for a workshop--and WOWSA! I'm definitely goin g to be using it for some cards ASAP. Thanks for the inspiration!
