Matters of the Heart

Good news! We are home - Marv with three stents in his heart. The procedure went well. He's recovering beautifully, his only complaint a little stiffness in the groin area, which is normal. There were three areas of blockage over 90 percent, one much worse than the other two. There is also lesser blockage in other areas, which will be monitored and treated with medication and some significant lifestyle changes. As for my personal experience with all of this, it was, at times, like being a character in an episode of ER.

I still feel a little drained but not so much so that I don't have a heart full of gratitude. We are very lucky that his problems were discovered when they were. We are also extremely fortunate to have supportive families and friends. For the prayers, kind thoughts, and cyber hugs, I cannot begin to put into words what I feel. Thank you.

If I can come up with a subject and a little energy, I'll be back later with my Friday Favorites post and maybe a card. Beate's Weekend Sketch challenge looks like a fun one. Later!

Praise God he is ok! I will be praying for a quick recovery. (It's so funny how we've never met, but I feel like I know you and your family so well.)

Big Hugs to you both. *Ü*

Ok, I am laughing at you.

First of all, let me say that I am so grateful that Marv is doing fine and that issues were caught before they were even more significant. Yet another example of God's grace.

Why am I laughing at you, you ask? Well, because after all is said and done, you still say that you'll be back with a card and a Friday favorite post. You're so "dedicated" to your hobby (and your blog!) ...

I will be lifting praises of thanksgiving tonight, as well as some for a speedy recovery.
