Before I'm done, you're going to wish I lost my U R A Hoot set, too. I'll try to contain myself for a few days. My card was inspired by this cute card on the Silver Stamping blog. For lack of a cute, silly bird, I resorted to an owl. I did realize while making this card that I need to get a new bulb for my Ott lamp. I've been making do, and as a result, colored my owl's wings purple! Under the light of a regular light bulb, the colored pencil I used sure looked brown to me. Good grief! That was a long list of stuff to make one little card. One takes it for granted when reaching for the "stuff." I did see a post on a blog once where the gal had added up the cost of all of the things she'd purchased to make a single card - supplies and tools she'd used. It was more than $400. I'm not adding anything up, and before I go off on some silly tangent, I'll cut it off here with a "Good Night" and a promise to stop back soon! Again, have a great week!
P.S. Stamp club was awesome tonight. We had two babies in attendance - four-month-old Jett and 13-day-old David. So cute!! "Stamp and pass" took on a new meaning. Fun!!!

My funny story is that a friend of mine bought the Silhouette or Wishblade, I can't remember. It was one of those computer operated die cut tools. Anyhow, she cut her first thing - some sort of word - and proudly showed it to her husband, saying, "If I bought this at the store it would have cost $4." He looked up and replied, "Well, that one only cost you $350." (Or whatever the high priced tool cost.)
That story always makes me smile.

I don't think that gal can really say her card cost $400, because she uses (I hope) those same tools for other projects!
I try to tell myself the $1 rule...say I want to buy something for $20...then I have to be able to use it 20 times to justify the cost. I don't know if it makes sense or not, but it has stopped me from buying something that I think I must have (like the 5 minutes I thought I wanted a Big Bite Crop-a-dile). I am perfectly content with my original one, so could I use the bigger one 40 times to justify the cost? My answer was no...so I put it back on the shelf. LOL Well, that logic works for me at least.
Oh and the card is adorable, by the way! LOL
