Who Can Resist?

Catchy title, huh? The inspiration for this card originated with a challenge amongst the design team members at Papertrey Ink. It begins with this card on the {capture the moment} blog. While Nicole used the crayon resist technique for her card, other team members used other methods. You can link from her post to the other great cards! It's a fun trip around the blogosphere.

My resist card was created by stamping my flower images with VersaMark ink on white cardstock and embossing with clear embossing powder. I then sponged on some background color, which, of course, the embossed images resisted. I think everything almost everything else is self-explanatory. The little butterfly has white wire antennae, mostly because I was too impatient to cut around the stamped image. It never fails anyway that when I'm cutting something so fine, I don't cut one of the antenna off. The wire was a way of adding a fun little touch while preventing unnecessary frustration.

Materials & Tools: White Daisy, Spring Iris, and Lilac Mist cardstock; Lilac Mist and Spring Iris stamp pads; Verve Visual Petals & Stems, CTMH Spot-on Backgrounds and Say it in Style May SOTM stamp sets; White wire; Round sponge; EK Success corner rounder; 3M foam mounting tape.

I'll be back later. I stamped like a mad woman last night and first thing this morning. I am obsessed . . .

Arggghhhh! You're killing me, Kathi!!! I absolutely LOVE what you have created here! I wanna make one, too, but I'd have to get that stamp set first and I don't have the moola right now. Sigh...I'll just have to drool over yours and see if I can find a similar flower...

This is just fabulous! I think it's the first resist card I've seen that actually made me want to try the technique! Beautiful work.
