One More Sketch Challenge

Here's my take on Jen Del Muro's weekly sketch on her i{heart}2stamp blog. I've been itching to play with these stamps for days but kept getting interrupted by other stamps. . . . like they jump up and down yelling, "Stamp with me first!" I wanted to make my flower blue and looked and looked for the "right" paper. When I couldn't come up with something to go with the plaid, I settled for an embossed piece of blue cardstock. I think it worked out OK, and I got my "coneflower fix."

Materials & Tools: Colonial White, Olive, and Indian Corn Blue cardstock; Basic Grey Archaic 6x6 paper pad; Black, Olive, Indian Corn Blue, Brown Bag, Autumn Terracotta, and Sunflower ink pads; Whipper Snapper Designs Blossoms & Butterflies and Papertrey Ink Mixed Messages stamp sets; Cuttlebug w/Argyle embossing folder and Nestabilities Classic Ovals set; 3M foam mounting tape.

I'll save the rest of the cards I stamped this weekend for another day(s). I've got to have something to lure you back after all. It's also nice to have a little stash in case something comes up or I'm too tired to stamp. I have a busy work week ahead of me. Tomorrow afternoon, we have a 3-1/2 hour "think tank" session scheduled for some new videos we're going to create. I'm excited that we're all going to be working together on this project, as the end results will be much better if the scriptwriter and those shooting the footage share a vision. I know I have press releases hitting the wire services on Tuesday and Wednesday, and I believe I have an article due for a German publication this week as well. I'm going to be busy, and on that note, I'm going to go get ready for bed. I hope you have a great week. I'll catch you tomorrow!

Oh so nice! Thanks for sharing. That stamp is one I've been seeing a lot recently and it's very appealing to look at.
