Good Morning

I never made it back yesterday. I never managed to get my act together either. After eating lunch, I fell asleep and slept until the phone rang. It was a friend who needed help with an art project she was working on. I no more returned from her house when the phone rang again. This time it was oldest son wondering if I wanted to go out for dinner. We tried a new restaurant and quickly discovered why its parking lot is always full. Speaking of full, so was my stomach when I got home, and I promptly fell asleep again, waking up at 10:30 when, you guessed it, the phone rang. It was Marv telling me that he was on his way home. It couldn't be fast enough once I realized he had the aspirin with him. I had a whopper of a headache and felt like I might be coming down with something. I was wrong. I feel fine today.

My card is for Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge #35, which, by the way, is a sketch challenge that doesn't require cupcake stamps. My flowers are stamped on CTMH's retired Naturals cardstock and colored with markers and a white gel pen. The sentiment was embossed with Buttercup embossing powder.

Materials & Tools: Colonial White, Buttercup, and Naturals (retired) cardstock; Chocolate textured cardstock; K&Company Wild Saffron Daisies paper; Black, Twilight, and VersaMark ink pads; Topiary and Buttercup markers; White gel pen; Whipper Snapper Designs Posies for You and Impression Obsession Anytime Sentiments stamp sets; Ribbon from Walmart; Antiqued Copper mini brads; Buttercup embossing powder, Embossing tool; 3M foam mounting tape.

While I don't have a specific plan for the day, there's plenty to do - like all those projects I started yesterday but didn't finish. If the weather's nice this afternoon, I think I'll take my camera and go out and see if I can't get some pictures of the trees about town - get a little fresh air while I'm at it. I hope yours is a wonderful day. Thanks for stopping by.
