Still In a Frenzy

I love to use Close To My Heart's White Daisy pigment ink on Stampin' Up's Kraft cardstock. Not only does it look great, but it dries fast.

For this card, I grabbed a scrap of Kraft cardstock and stamped my flowers without thinking about how I was going to finish my card. After using the faux stitching technique to create stems and stamping the leaves, I realized that the piece I had was most suitable for a 5-1/2 inch square card. The square also lent itself to using the sentiment stamp to create a "frame" for my stamped image. Excellent! Finishing the card are a length of pretty ribbon and Circle Window Charms on my flower centers. It always feel good when what starts out so random turns out OK.

Materials & Tools: White Daisy, Sunflower, Topiary, and Stampin' Up Kraft cardstock; White Daisy pigment, Topiary, and Sunflower ink pads; Topiary marker; Papertrey Ink Floral Frenzy stamp set; Ribbon from Walmart; Circle Window Charms; Piercing tool; Stampin' Up Piercing Guide and Mat; Stampin' Up Slit punch.

Ah! Tomorrow is Friday. Even though my week has been so much better than I thought it was going to be, I'm anticipating the weekend nonetheless. Marv is going to the hunting cabin tomorrow afternoon until sometime Saturday, so maybe I'll accomplish as much as I did last weekend. Perhaps, I'll take it easy. At this point, I don't much care what I do so long as it's not within the confines of a gigantic concrete building.

Right now, I have a little boy who wants to play the "fishing game" on grandma's computer, so I'm going to spend a while helping him fish for letters of the alphabet. As soon as Mathias is done, I'm sure it will be Bjorn's turn. Bjorn came with his first library book this morning, too. It was so cute, as he's so proud. We'll read it a time or two before they go to bed, and then maybe Grandma can sneak into her corner. Have a nice evening. I'll talk to you again tomorrow.
