I am . . .

. . . so blessed. It's been a busy week, and although I'm dog tired tonight, I'm happy and grateful. The card is my take on Beate's Weekly Sketch Challenge #64. Pretty paper and a couple of fun punches made it easy. The flowers were highlighted with a same-color marker and layered with foam tape.

Materials & Tools: Colonial White and Cocoa Cardstock; Perfect Day paper packet; Cocoa ink pad; Verve Stamps Abundant Blessings and So Happy stamp sets; Hero Arts 5mm Pearl Accents; Distressor Tool; Martha Stewart Branch punch; Fiskars Sunburst border punch; 3M foam mounting tape.

Here's a photo of our little pirates. It's not the greatest photograph, but you'll get the drift. They had a busy day with parties at daycare and Bjorn at school. Mommy took them to a party that the local Lions Club holds for kids at the National Guard every year, too, and then they stopped here for supper and treats before going to pick up Daddy for some serious Trick or Treating. It will be fun to hear all about it. Tomorrow, we have a family Halloween party at my sister and brother-in-law's house about 60 miles from here. I hope they're up for it and that Mathias wasn't in the process of coming down with the same bug his brother had last weekend as I suspect might be the case. I guess we'll see in the morning. Did I mention that they won the costume contest at the Lions Club party? Thank you, McCall's Patterns, although I wish you would make your patterns a little simpler for us Grandmas who are squeezed for time . LOL.

Tonight, I'm going to go straighten up my corner and then go to bed. Come morning, I have some cooking to do for the party and a 9 a.m. hair appointment, which means that sleeping in will not an option. When I was younger and had more steam, my line was, "I'll sleep when I'm old." Now, I guess the plan is to sleep when I'm older. I still think it's a waste of time, albeit a seemingly necessary one these days. My hope for you is that you have a great weekend. Later!

Oh my goodness! They look TERRIFIC! You did an awesome job!! I'm not surprised they got a prize for those costumes. And that grin!

Love your card, of course...but the boys look great.

Hope you have a good time today! Sleep...I'm a fuddy duddy and hit the hay about the same time each night!

Your grandsons are just darling. I hope they appreciate their super talented grandma. I tried to learn to sew when I was in junior high but apparently I wasn't blessed with those genes.

I love your card too.
