In the Mood . . .

For a little Asian Flair! I can't explain why I sought out this stamp set this evening other than the fact that I love the Asian look and am intrigued by bamboo. Perhaps, it's because a plant that grows in water is something I think I might be able to handle. It's said to be lucky. Maybe that's the attraction.

About the card, there isn't much to say other than it proved what a handy device my Creative Memories Square Makers punch is!

Materials & Tools: Colonial White, Desert Sand, and Vineyard Berry cardstock; 7Gypsies Sushi Journey 6x6-inch Variety Pack; Desert Sand, Olive, and Vineyard Berry ink pads; Verve Stamps Asian Flair stamp set; Antiqued Copper Bitty Brads; Stampin' Up Word Window punch; Creative Memories Square Maker punch; Sanding block.

I'm in a better mood tonight. I had a good day today, getting an article for a magazine in Spain off to the translators in plenty of time to make my deadline and feeling good about another initiative I'm working on. I came home to three of my five favorite guys and a nice supper that Grandpa had prepared. Bjorn and Mathias had spent the whole day with Grandpa and were full of stories about their adventures. Grandpa must have worn them out to, because they promptly settled down after prayers tonight. Tomorrow's Friday, too, which is pretty sweet. I've banked a couple of extra hours this week, so if it works out, I'm going to leave early tomorrow - a great way to start what's going to be a busy weekend.

For tonight, I'm going to hit the hay. I started a new book recently, and while it's very interesting, I only seem to make it through a couple of pages before clonking out every night. I wish you a good day tomorrow. If the mojo is flowing, I'll be back with a card or something. In the meanwhile, take care and thanks for stopping by!

Ohhhh Kathi! This is very pretty. Different in that I'm not accustomed to seeing the Asian look, but I really like it!

Sounds like you had a very good day yesterday! Yippee!

I tried to be creative while the girls were in school yesterday and all I had to show for my efforts was a huge dose of frustration. Nothing was working for me. Ah well...maybe today will be better.
