Wisdom

This was one of those cards that had me wondering what in the heck I was doing until, that is, I added the gingham ribbon that, while I never would have initially chosen it to go with this paper, pulled the whole thing together in the end. That was also a 47-word sentence that editors hate but I would defend in that it contained a single thought and is, after all, grammatically correct.

The card is simple enough that there isn't much more to say about it. I colored the flowers with markers, the blossoms first with Orange and then around the edges with Holiday Red and then Orange again to blend the colors. Who needs Copics? I do. But I can't have 'em. LOL. I love the sentiment, which makes me wonder why I write cuz' all the really good stuff has already been said.

Materials & Tools: White Daisy and Black cardstock; Basic Grey Ambrosia 6x6-inch paper pad; Brown Bag and Black ink pads; Orange, Holiday red, Garden Green, and Olive markers; Wordsworth Men Collection stamp set; Gingham ribbon from Wal-Mart; Yellow Fun Flock; 3M foam mounting tape.

Happy Friday! I can't tell you how happy I was when the 5 o'clock hour rolled around today. I have no big plans for the weekend - some chores, some stamping, time with family, relaxing. It sounds wonderful. I hope you're looking forward to the next couple of days, too. Take care, and I'll be talking to you!
