If you squint, you might be able to see that I made this card with textured cardstock. Additionally, the narrowly matted image was mounted on the base using foam tape. Subtle texture. With the exception of the little red heart, I used this weekend’s couple’s wedding “colors.”
Had the card been for a different couple, I might have added a smidgeon of narrow red ribbon, but the mother-of-the-groom (my sister-in-law) told me a while back her daughter-in-law-to-be hates ribbon. While it can certainly be overdone, I cannot imagine a wedding without ribbon. I can’t really fathom hating ribbon either. LOL.
Materials & Tools: White Daisy and Black Textured cardstock; Black and Tulip ink pads; Solo “2” and Solo “F” stamp sets; Cuttlebug w/Heart Blocks embossing folder; 3M foam mounting tape.
As you’ve probably gathered, we will be attending a ribbon-free, black and white wedding on Saturday. Godparents of the groom, husband and I are greeters. Dustin is an usher. It will be a good time, although I don’t think there will be any carriage ride for this couple. The high on Saturday is supposed to be 0, the low –12F. As my Scandinavian friends would say, “Oofda.” LOL.
My car is still sitting in the parking lot at work. A mechanic is going to look at it tomorrow. My fingers remain crossed it’s just “in a mood” – on strike due to the frigid weather or something.
Enough jabber. I hope you had a great day. Out of vacation time until my review date on January 13, I have to work tomorrow. Tonight, I’m going to play.
Thanks for stopping by! Later…
